Cecilia Wilde was born in La Paz, Bolivia.

Education: Master in Visual Arts from the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (La Paz, Bolivia). Art History at the Sorbonne in Paris, (France). Museology and artistic pedagogy (Bogotá, Colombia). Diploma in cultural management (University Nuestra Señora de La Paz).

Since 1985, Wilde has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in the main art galleries in Bolivia and won awards in the two most important painting contests in Bolivia: Second National Salon of Plastic Arts of the Americas - Bolivian Central America in La Paz, and also in the XXI National Plastic Arts Salon "14 de Septiembre" in Cochabamba.

Wilde exhibited at the International Biennial in Cuenca, Ecuador (1993), the Visual Arts Biennial in Mérida, Venezuela (1994) and at the IX Iberoamerican Biennial of Art "Lithography at the end of 200 years of invention", in Guadalajara, Mexico (2000).

In 1995, she was selected to work and exhibit in the Principality of Liechtenstein and since that year her works have been presented in galleries in Europe, America and Asia.

In 2008, Ms. Wilde carried out a plastic investigation on the Andean worldview in Bolivia, which is presented in the Tsereteli Gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts and in New Manesh, both in the city of Moscow, Russian Federation.

In 2009, Wilde is invited to the Wine and Art Festival in the city of Tarija, Bolivia.

In 2010 Wilde presented the second part of the project on the Andean worldview at the National Art Museum of the city of La Paz, Bolivia.

In 2015 Wilde is invited to paint and exhibit her work in South Korea at the Mosan Art Museum World Cultural Art Symposium, residence with 5 world artists and 5 sculptors. Being the only South American representative.

Between 2016 and 2019, Wilde presented her work in galleries in Bolivia.

Wilde currently resides in the Netherlands.
